rhian currently practices as an architect at a research based design studio in cardiff, and also runs the territory studio on the MArch course at the welsh school of architecture.
philosophy
rhian is obsessed by the plan form and composition; the plan always precedes the form. a common feature in her recent work is the progressive reduction of any medium to its most basic, defining characteristics, agreeing with the beliefs of the australian architect glenn murcutt who states:
'i see simplicity not so much as a disregard of complexity but as the clarification of the significant.'
