philosophy

after 5 years in finance, huw embarked on a career as a cartoonist, illustrator and painter and quickly received kudos from peers and professionals, gaining clients such as private eye and readers digest.

huws paintings are an opportunity to break out of the constraints of small scale cartooning and by contrast often explore darker and more introspective concepts.

huw has a fascination with colour, tone and simplicity of pallet. it is the subtle shades of colour in huws work that convey powerfully the complexities of human emotion.
